Privacy Policy

TL;DR

Swipeys does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. The keyboard runs entirely on your device. There are no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising SDKs, no Swipeys server.

What Swipeys is

Swipeys is an iOS keyboard extension. It replaces Apple's QWERTY grid with a 3×3 flick layout. In version 1.0, the entire keyboard is local code — there is no Swipeys backend that your installation talks to.

Data we collect

None.

No analytics, telemetry, crash reporting, advertising SDKs, or third-party data services are integrated. The app does not create or use an account identifier, does not access your contact list, and does not request location, microphone, camera, or photo permissions.

What the keyboard accesses (but does not collect)

• What you type passes through the keyboard extension as you type it — that is how keyboards work. Swipeys never logs, stores, or transmits the characters you enter. The code that would do so does not exist in the app.
• Settings (key size, gesture preferences, language layout selection, custom layouts, recent emoji history) are stored in an iOS App Group container on your device. They never leave the device. Uninstalling the app removes them.
• Layout JSON files — both the built-in layouts and any layouts you customize — live in app storage on your device.

Full Access is optional and off by default. When you turn it on, it is used only for haptic feedback (a light tap as you type) — it does not give the keyboard clipboard access, network access, or any way to collect or transmit data. Everything else works with Full Access off.

Payments (Apple StoreKit)

The 30-day trial and the one-time lifetime purchase are processed by Apple through StoreKit. Swipeys receives a purchase receipt indicating only whether you are entitled to use the app past the trial — never your payment method, email address, billing name, or any identity information. Apple's own Privacy Policy governs the payment transaction.

Third parties

None. No analytics, advertising networks, social-media SDKs, or data brokers receive information from Swipeys.

Children's privacy

Swipeys is not directed at children under 13. Because we collect no information, no children's data is processed by Swipeys.

International (GDPR, CCPA, similar)

We collect no personal data and operate no servers, so there is nothing to export, correct, restrict, or delete on request. Uninstalling Swipeys removes all data Swipeys held about you (which is, again, settings and layouts stored only on your device).

Changes to this policy

We will update this page if Swipeys ever introduces data collection. The Effective date at the top of the page will reflect the change. Material changes will also appear in the App Store release notes for the version that introduces them.
